Dissolution behaviour of lizardite during sulphuric acid leaching was investigated in laterite soil and rock type ore from Yuanjiang,China.X-ray diffraction,infrared spectrum(IR), thermal gravimetric and differential thermal gravimetric analysis(TG/DTA) have been used to characterise the two ore samples.The results show that lizardite in laterite soil is dissolved faster in sulphuric acid than lizardite in rock type ore.
