Based on the nonlocal theory and Timoshenko beam theory,this paper analyzes the wave propagation characteristics in MEE nanobeams.Theoretical formulations include the small scale effect,MEE coupling effect and the influences of transverse shear deformation and rotary inertia.The governing equations are derived by using the Hamiltons principle.Numerical results are then presented in graphical forms to investigate the influences of the nonlocal parameter,temperature rise,external electric potential and external magnetic potential on the wave propagation characteristics of MEE nanobeams in detail.
