In the past decades,silk fibroin,a natural protein from the domestic silkworm (Bombxy mori),has been widely investigated in biomedical and pharmaceutical fields,due to its superior mechanical properties,good biocompatibility,and low toxicity [1].For example,silk fibroin nanoparticles (SFNs) have been used for drug delivery [2,3].However,these nanoparticles show low colloidal stability in biological media,preventing their further applications in vivo.
