Coupling between the bright and dark modes in a unit cell of metamaterials plays an important role in observing the sharp transparency band due to destructive interference between the plasmonic resonators.Previous works, most of which relay on coupling between two electric resonant modes such as the electric dipole-quadrupole coupling system [1,2], have shown that the spectral response of the electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) can be manipulated by changing the relative distance between the resonators or breaking the structural symmetry, thus modifying their coupling strength.
