Objective To investigate the pattern and locations of morphological progression and development of glaucomatous optic neuropathy (GON) in population based longitudinal study.Methods the cohort of 5880 participants accepted crosssectional baseline study (LALES1) and follow-up study (LALES2) five years after.Three-Step process was used to determine the cross-sectional and longitudinal diagnosis of POAG based on clinical consensus.The evaluation of optic nerve head (ONH) and retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) was through stereo photographs readings.
