　　A combined Pd/CuY catalytic and dehydrating system, in which dry zeolite support acted also as dehydrator, has been found to be very efficient in the oxidative carbonylation of phenol to diphenyl carbonate in the absence of solvent with 18.2 % phenol conversion, 98 % DPC selectivity and 1521 (mol DPC/mol-Pd-h) of TOF.
