A novel homogeneous polysaccharide named ASP was extracted from the roots of Angelica sinensis (Oliv.) Diels and labeled with FITC according to the method of Belder and Granath.In the present study, we investigated the uptake of ASP between hepatoma cells such as HepG2 cell and Bel-7402 cell,and non-hepatoma cells like Hela cell, and the in vivo distribution of ASP in healthy Babl/c mice.The mice was intravenously injected with ASP labeled with FITC and the concentrations of ASP in different tissues were detected by high performance liquid chromatography.
