Shenxiong Glucose Injection is a compound preparation from Salvia miltiorrhiza (SM, also called Danshen) and ligustrazine hydrochloride (LZH), and it has been extensively used for treating cardiovascular disease and surgical disease in China.In the present study, a rapid and sensitive UPLC-MS/MS method was developed for the simultaneous determination of four major active ingredients, danshensu, protocatechuic aldehyde, rosmarinic acid and ligustrazine, from a traditional Chinese medicine Shenxiong Glucose Injection in rat plasma.After acidified and alkalized, plasma sample was extracted by ethyl acetate and then the extracted analytes were separated through a Waters C18 column (2.1 mm×50 mm, 1.7 μm) using a gradient mobile phase system of acetonitrile-water solution containing 0.1% formic acid and luteoloside as an internal standard.
