Single incision laparoscopic surgery is a newly developing technique.Few experience has been reported about its application in the field ofcolorectal diseases.We are glad to share our early experience in this filed in order to illustrate the practical application of single incision laparoscopic surgery in the management of benign and malignant lesions of the colon and rectum, through the clinical experience of a single surgical unit.A retrospective analysis of 26 patients who underwent single incision totally laparoscopic colorectal surgery between December 2009 and March 2011 was done.8 patients had colon cancer; 11 rectal cancer; 3 colon adenomas; 1 rectal adenoma; 2 had ulcerative colitis and 1 case of lymphoid tumor in the colon.
