objective: The main cellular components of the heart include cardiac fibroblasts, myocytes, endothelial cells and vascular smooth muscle cells.The fibroblast composite the largest cell population of the heart.Cardiac fibroblasts play a critical role in maintaining normal cardiac function, as well as in cardiac remodeling during pathological conditions such as myocardial infarct and hypertension.The fibroblast porliferation and fibroblast-myofibroblast transition is important in these process.The goals of the present study were to better understand the contribution of substratum mechanical enviromental to prolifertion/transition and determine the possible clues downwards mechanical stimulation to orchestrate the fibroblast porliferation and differentiation.
