  As an exciting new branch of supramolecular chemistry,the study of the assembly and reactivity of nanosized clusters has attracted great interest.[1-2] In this paper,we synthesized a Fe5 cluster,[Fe5(2,2′-Hdbpt)4O2Cl4][FeCl4]2-5C2H5OH(1)(2,2′-H2dbpt= 5,5-di(pyridin-4-yl)-3,3-bi(1,2,4-triazole)),and two coordination polymers based on the Fe5 cluster subunit,[Fe6(2,2′-dbpt)4O2Cl5]n[FeCl4]·C2H5OH(2)and [Fe7(2,2′-dbpt)4(H2O)2Cl5]n[FeCl4]·C2H5OH(3).The hierarchical assembly process in the single crystal to single crystal transformation between them has been studied.
