In recent years although the technology of liquid crystal display (LCD) has already replaced the cathode ray tube (CRT) and become a majority role in the market of the panel display,however,from the principle of physics the intrinsic drawback of the LCD technology,which relied on the passive response to polarized light beams,has still strongly restricted their development and application in the displays.Especially,as the rapidly growing of the initiative lightning panel display techniques,such as the light-emitting diode (LED)[1] and organic light-emitting diode (OLED)[2] etc.,the LCD technique has met big challenges.From the physics point of view,it is very obviously that in the display market the passive LCD technique should be replaced by initiative techniques in the very near future.Thus progressively more fundamental and applied studies in liquid crystals have sought to apply this miraculous soft material to aspects other than the planar displays.
