Objective: Previous studies has shown that dysregulation of microRNAs(miRNAs) are largely involved in breast cancer.DNA hypermethylation in the regulatory region of miRNA genes accounts for the downregulation of miRNA expression in tumors. In this study, we aim to investigate the methylation status of promoter CpG islands of miR-34a, miR-124-1, and miR-148a genes, which are among those dysregulated miRNAs in breast cancer.
