Soybean (Glycine max) is an important oil crop and one of the major food protein sources in China.Different to other crop plants whose growth relying on the industrial fertilizer supply, soybean, as a legume species, can get unlimited nitrogen supply through its interaction with nitrogen-fixing rhizobium bacteria.Symbiotic nitrogen fixation takes place in a specialized organ, named root nodule that is formed to host rhizobia in the roots.
