CFD investigation of water flow injecting into turbocharger in operation has been carried out to study the interactions between hot-air flow and cold-water liquid droplets, and the impact of water droplets on downstream blade surfaces.The project has strong industrial applications, in particular, turbocharger that uses of low-grade diesel fuels for diesel engine, leading to gas mixture with harmful contaminations that will rapidly deposit on blades.The consequence of this would be quick nozzle throat blockage, fast blades corrosions and damages, all would decrease the overall engine performance.One existing engineering solution to the problem is to develop an online water washing system that operates daily to remove the accumulated deposits.
