GRAPHENE NETWORKS IN SAN NANOCOMPOSITES: ELECTRICAL AND RHEOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

For polymer composites, the filler networks would be constructed when the filler loading exceeds a critical value, named percolation threshold in terms of the percolation theory[1-2].The network formation makes great impact on the properties of the composites, especially on the electrical and rheological properties.[3-5] In this work, styrene-acrylonitrile (SAN) copolymer was incorporated with graphene nanosheets through coagulation method.The graphene nanosheets were dispersed homogeneously in the nanocomposites, as shown in TEM micrographs in Fig.l.Besides, with increasing graphene content, the filler networks could be clearly observed.Due to the formation of the graphene networks, both the electrical and theological properties displayed percolation behavior.
