Objective: To investigate the prognostic significance of serum GGT in patients undergoing radiofrequency ablation (RFA)therapy.Methods: This retrospective study included 245 patients with small liver cancer (tumor ≤5 cm in diameter and nodule ≤3) whowere treated by RFA.Baseline serum GGT and other variables,such as sex, age, HbsAg, HbeAb, Anti-HCV, Child-Pugh grading, total bilirubin (TB), alanine aminotransferase (ALT),prothrombin time (PT), albumin, GGT, alpha-fetoprotein(AFP), tumor size, and tumor number, were included in the survival analysis.Overall and recurrence free survival were evaluated through the Kaplan-Meier method.Univariate and multivariate analyses were used to examine the significance of GGT and other prognostic factors.
