As a kind of new sample preparation technique, solid-phase microextraction (SPME) possesses several advantages and has been widely used for the extraction of volatile and semi-volatile analytes in various matrixes.However, the low extraction efficiency for some polar and nonvolatile compounds has limited the applications of SPME in biomedical fields.An important approach to expand the application of SPME is to combine derivatization with SPME.
