　　The principles,operating procedures and update of progress of gene targeting in 10 plants,as well as factors that affect efficiency of gene targeting were reviewed.In 11 addition,some advices on improving targeting efficiency were introduced and the 12 application prospects of gene targeting in botany research were respected.
