Antibiotic resistance: an overwhelming problem! Strains of multiresistant bacteria, that defy nearly all antibiotics, emerge with increasing speed.Multiresistant M.Tuberculosis, MRSA, VRE and ESBL bacteria are spreading uncontrolled creating tremendous suffering for individuals and overwhelming costs to society.The cause is use and abuse of antibiotics to man and animal.Antibiotics to animals are mainly given to "promote growth", not to treat diseases.Antibiotics are secondarily widely distributed in our environment from unconsumed fodder, excreted urine and faeces and in meat eaten by man and animal.
