  In this study,polysulfone(PSF) asymmetric membrane was fabricated and modified into biocompatible membrane material used for membrane oxygeantor.Atmospheric pressure plasma technology is used to pretreat PSF membrane for activating material surface,then PEG and heparin were grafted onto PSF membrane surface,which were marked as PSF-PEG,PSF-Hep,PSF-PEG-Hep,respectively [1].The modified membranes were characterized by ATR-FTIR and XPS to confirm successful immobilization of PEG and heparin on its surface.Permeation rate of oxygen and carbon dioxide,critical water permeability pressure,gas-liquid transport capacity were tested through all the membranes above [2-3].Blood compatibility was evaluated by measuring adhesion of platelets,adsorption of bovine serum albumin,and the activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT)[4-5].The results indicated that modified PSF membrane maintained its original chemical performance,and antithrombogenicity was improved remarkably as well.Besides,compared with PSF-Hep membrane,PSF-PEG-Hep membrane showed superior performance,which indicated that PEG spacer grafted on the membrane was benefit for heparin to improve biocompatibility.
