The failure of sufficient accumulation of nanoparticles in tumor tissues is a primary problem to tumor therapy, which was because the extracellular matrix (ECM) produced by tumor and stromal cells and the poor tumor-target ability of nanoparticles.The ECM, containing collagen, hyaluronan and proteoglycans, can compress the tumor vessels and leads to impaired drug delivery.
