1946年7月29日发生在河北省香河县安平镇的安平事件,是中共与美国之间发生的第一次军队与军队之间的武装冲突。这次冲突正值马歇尔来华调处国共关系遭遇困难之际。必须要求得国共双方配合的马歇尔,被迫对这一造成美国海军陆战队十余名官兵死伤的严重事件采取了大事化小的处理方法。但是,美国政府随后不顾中共方面的强烈反对,向国民政府转售战时剩余物资的做法,还是加速了国共关系的破裂。安平事件的调查工作也因此备受影响,最终美、国、共三方各执一辞,事实真相反而被遮蔽了起来。
The Anping incident on July 29, 1946 in Anping, Xianghe County, Hebei Province, was the first armed clash between the CPC and the United States between the army and the army. The clash came just as Marshall came to China to mediate the KMT-CPC relations in times of trouble. Marshall, who is required to cooperate with both Kuomintang and the Communist Party, must be forced to take a major and minor approach to the serious incident that caused the deaths and injuries of more than a dozen officers and soldiers of the United States Marine Corps. However, the U.S. government subsequently rescinded the ruinous exchange of wartime supplies to the Kuomintang government in spite of the fierce opposition from the Chinese communists and accelerated the breakdown of the relations between the KMT and the CPC. As a result, the investigation of the Anping incident has been greatly affected. Eventually the United States and China have all taken one place and the truth has been overshadowed.
