Neutron activation analysis is a highly sensitive, non-destructive, multi-elemental analysis technique that is widely used in geology, industry and other fields. With the development of technologies such as reactor engineering and neutron generators and the development of isotope neutron sources, the advent of high-resolution detectors and the application of computers, the elemental discrimination ability and automation analysis level of neutron activation analysis have been greatly enhanced. It has become one of the most advanced analytical techniques in modern times (Li Dehong and Su Tongling, 2005) and is an extremely important and effective method for analyzing trace and ultra trace elements.
