  Anatase titania nanoparticles have a number of applications,including self-cleaning coatings, and optical coatings of nanocomposites (nanoparticles plus a polymer matrix).The chalenge was to develop a green synthesis route making transparent titania/polmer nanocomposites, starting with the generation TiO2 anatase nanoparticles in the processing solvent,maintaining them in liquid phases until the final product is formed.This approach avoided the possibility of creating aerosols containing nanoparticles.
