Metal-organic carboxylic acid coordination polymers have become one of particularly popular subjects, which is attributed to their intriguing diversity of the structures and potentials[1-2].Two coordination polymers [M(phth)bpp(H2O)] (M=Co, 1;Ni, 2) (H2phth =l,2-benzenedicarboxylic acid, bpp =l,3-bis(4-pyridyl)propane.) have been obtained by hydrothermal method and characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction, Complexes 1 and 2 are both crystallize in a monoclinic chiral space group P21, and feature 3D structures and built from left-handed M-pht helices and bpp linkers (scheme 1).
