The "Arab Spring" emphatically changed the political landscape of the Arab World:four leaders have been forced out of power by popular uprisings in Tunisia.Egypt,Libya, and Yemen.Protests have become increasingly common throughout the Arab World.Responses to the Arab Spring have differed throughout the Arab World. Many countries have promised reforms, while others have responded with violence. In 2011,the spark of revolution began in Tunisia and the domino effect took place in Egypt,Libya,Syria, and Yemen. Those revolutions have shed light on deep-rooted problems. The Arab World has long been laden with tensions and instabilities. However, the recent Arab Uprisings, better known as the Arab Spring, have intensified volatility, turning this "hot-spot" into a veritable tinderbox whose potential for explosion has far-reaching national, regional and global implications.2011 became a year of revolutions for the Arab World,a series of popular uprising toppled strongmen that have ruled for decades. This thesis will discuss the causes, impacts and countermeasure of the Arab Spring in the Arab World. It will also highlight the civil unrest which led to overthrow of the regimes and created instability and turmoil in the region. Moreover, this research will also explain the current protracted war in Yemen.
