The focus of this paper is to analyze the current situation of South Korean small and medium-sized enterprises direct investment in China,as well as to come up with the strategies that these enterprises can adopt to help them make their direct investment a success in the China market.
Although the study in limited in the scope of research,it attempts to formulate suggestions for South Korean small and medium-sized businesses by analyzing earlier South Korean studies.
This paper will first examine the essential elements to establishing sound strategies that would allow South Korean small and medium enterprises to successfully enter the China market,and thus providing useful data and information for companies when making their investment decisions.
After a careful analysis,this paper came up with the following suggestions regarding investments strategies that Korean companies can adopt to successfully make investment in China.First of all,this paper encourages the localization strategy,whereby the company should try to choose different methods to approach the Chinese market.They should also build local partnership and focus on the Chinese domestic market.Companies should also prepare themselves by conducting sufficient market research,focus on attaining a global competitive advantage,and forge close ties wit other South Korean companies in China,as well as to garner support from the Sout Korean Government.
