In the East Asia the study on the culture comparison among China、Japan and Korea belongs to the culture exchange. At present the religious dispute among the different regions and economic and cultural conflict is frequent. In this case in the study on the comparison culture the topic to try to find out the joint of multi-cultural development in the different language environment and culture background is worth examining.After the patriarchal way, the product of the Chinese confucianist culture, was introduced into Japan and Korea, it was accepted and rejected to meet their own need, and also it was totally accepted or improved. In the end it has become one part of the native culture in the two countries. As we know, Japan and Korea both belong to the confucianist culture circle, but their patriarchal ways are essentially different.By studying the family system in Japan and Korea, this essay intends to examin the differences of the female status in the different social levels and their social roots. In ChapterⅠthe purpose of research、precedent research、research scope and ways are stated. In ChapterⅡthe root and definition of the family system are defined and the patriachy in Japan and Korea as well, and then their similarities and differences are analysed. In ChapterⅢthe essay expounds how the Chinese confucianist patriarchal way is accepted by the two countries and its influence on the female status. In ChapterⅣthe female status in Japan and Korea is compared-by the way of the education level、the social activities and the economic activities and so on the differences of the patriarchal way in the two countries are discussed. The last chapter is the conclusion.By analysis, it is found out that although Japan and Korea have the same confucianist ethics, combining with the native intrinsic culture the special patriatchal way culture has been created. Therefore, in the two countries with different patriarchal ways the differences of the female status in the social basic level are not difficult to understand.
