段琳琳:2000年你跟随父母搬离英国前往法国定居,是什么原因促使他们做出这个决定?霍斯金:实际上在2000年之前,他们就想迁居法国了。因为过去十几年,他们经常到法国度假,他们很享受那里平静的生活,他们发现法国人生活节奏比较慢,而且更有趣。而他们也厌倦了那种拼命工作只为了能够买一套房子。相比于谦卑地活着,他们想要追求更多。而且法国的气候也比英国好,有更多晴天。
Duan Linlin: Why did you make this decision after you moved away from England to France in 2000 to follow your parents? Hoskins: In fact, they wanted to move to France before 2000. Because over the past decade or so they have been on vacation in France for quite a long time, they enjoy the peaceful life there. They find that the French are living a slower and more interesting life. And they are tired of the kind of hard work just to be able to buy a house. They want to pursue more than living humbly. And France’s climate is also better than the United Kingdom, there are more sunny days.
