这种丝锥的结构特点(如图所示):切削锥部较长,斜角较小,一般取3°_°~+30′。后部留有2.5t~3t长的具有成形尺寸和完整螺纹截形的螺纹(t为螺纹的螺距)。为了保证丝锥切削过程能顺利进行和具有一定的耐用度,应在沿切削锥部和完整扣螺纹部分,每牙均须铲磨后角,并分别留有f_1和f的圆柱形螺纹刃带。f_1值取0.2~0.5mm,而f值可取0.5~3mm。在攻螺纹时为了能达到被加工螺纹的表面粗糙度,在f_1和f交界处不允许有尖角。而且丝锥后部的螺纹不完全的扣应去除。
