人工自然电位法所测量的是用人工方法改造了的自然电位。利用它来测定井下基岩中的含水层,可以在一般生产的泥浆孔中进行,无需清孔刷壁,更用不着下套管、筛管。测量的速度快,一般可在终孔后16小时内完成。目前,国内外水文物探测井一般应用下述几种方法: 1.对于第四系松散沉积层,可用视电阻率、自然电位法准确地划分泥质层和砂质层,根据其隔水和含水性质确定隔水层和含水层。这是一种直接而又简便的方法。 2.基岩中的含水层无直接方法测定,只能间接地用多种方法配合,通过多种方法的综合分析,才能加以肯定。
