Following the isolation of new iridoids and naphthopyrones from Rubia cordifolia L., a new terpenoid (I) was isolated. Its main physicochemical properties and spectral data are as follows: (I) is a yellow needle, mp: 284-286°C. The NaOH reaction is pink and the Molish reaction is positive; UVλ max (MeOH) nm: 215.6, 274.0, 413.2.
