In recent years, many researchers have begun to look at the relationship between literature and history embodied in the two Tang books. Among them, the research on the transmission part is particularly prominent. Historically, Shih Chuan’s evaluation of literary figures is not very high. An extremely typical example is the depiction of Du Fu in the two Tang books. Although Du Fu described in the history of literature is a great poet cherished by his family, Du Fu was not highly admired in the Tang Dynasty and even in the early Northern Song Dynasty. Into the early Northern Song Dynasty “New Tang Dynasty” Du Fu’s evaluation is more derogatory than praise. Such a contrast can not but draw the attention of scholars. Studying Du Fu in The New Tang Dynasty can not only lead to many questions about the historical formation and acceptance of Du Fu’s image, but also can be seen from the evaluation system of Chinese ancient history writing, which is of great significance in understanding history writing and historical facts Complex cultural relations are of great benefit.
