波兰技术物理学院J’Ozef Zmija教授应长春物理所五室的邀请,于93年1月8日至12日来我所参观访问,在此期问,Zmija教授作了题为“PDLCD的原理、制备、特性以及应用”的学术报告、该报告主要回顾了PDLC的制备方法,物理原理、主要特性及其应用。PDLC一股是正性向列相液晶材料以液滴的形式分散在聚合物中.液滴的直径一般在十分之几微米到几微米之间.液晶层厚约为10~25um。由于光是在指向矢随意分布的液晶滴上散射.因此液晶层不透光。当把PDLC放在两电极之间,高电场使所有液滴中的指向矢沿电场
Professor J’Ozef Zmija from Poland Institute of Technical Physics came to visit our institute on the invitation of Room 5, Changchun Institute of Physics from January 8 to January 12, 1993. During this period, Professor Zmija made a speech titled “Principles of PDLCD, Preparation, Characteristics and Applications ”, which mainly reviews the preparation methods, physical principles, main characteristics and applications of PDLC. PDLC is a positive nematic liquid crystal material in the form of droplets dispersed in the polymer droplets diameter is generally a few tenths of a micron to a few microns between the liquid crystal layer thickness of about 10 ~ 25um. Because the light is randomly scattered in the director scatters liquid crystal droplets, the liquid crystal layer is opaque. When the PDLC is placed between the two electrodes, the high field forces the directors in all the droplets along the electric field
