钢筋冷挤压连接技术是70年代西方工业发达国家研究出的一种机械连接方法。在我国,最早由冶金部建筑研究总院于1986年研究开发此技术,1987年正式应用于中央电视发射塔工程。钢筋冷挤压连接技术在我国的历史虽仅短短几年,但由于其具有其它方法无法比拟的优点,特别是接头质量可靠,接头性能满足日本建筑中心《钢筋接头性能判定基准》(1982)最高级SA级的要求,在施工中接头机械性能抽检合格率100%;检验方便,仅靠外观检查就可判定接头是否合格等,受到了施工技术人员的欢迎。
