“文化是包括人们的风俗习惯、行为规范以及各种意识形态的内在复合体。”与英语课堂教学联系较为密切的主要涉及两种文化:成就文化和行为文化。语言是文化的重要组成部分,是一个民族文化的一面镜子。学习的语言必须要注重文化的渗透,因为衡量学生的语言水平关键就在于他对相关文化的了解程度。学习英语必须跨越英汉两种语言的文化,否则无法进行得体的交际。课堂教学中教师要充分利用各种条件和机会,向学生讲解和渗透有关于英语国家的文化。 “Culture is an intrinsic complex that includes people’s customs, behavioral norms, and various ideologies.” The two major cultures that are closely related to English classroom instruction are the achievement culture and behavior culture. Language is an important part of culture and a mirror of national culture. The language of learning must focus on the penetration of culture, because the key to measuring the student’s language level lies in his understanding of the relevant culture. Learning English must span the cultures of English and Chinese languages, otherwise it is impossible to communicate appropriately. In classroom teaching, teachers should make full use of various conditions and opportunities to explain and infiltrate the culture of English-speaking countries to students.
