Horton said that what the Chinese team lacks is not technology but tactics. For many IT companies, what is missing is not products, but strategies, especially long-term, trend-compliant strategies. What is the current trend? Internet plus business. Whether we use E-Commerce and E-Business to confuse a clear line with the word “e-commerce,” one thing is for sure: if IBM introduced e-commerce concepts a year and a half ago, many thought it was blue. As for the giant’s surrealistic ideas, even today, even if they take the brunt of fashion, many GMs have written the word “e-commerce” into the slide that introduces the company’s strategy. As the world’s second-largest IT company, HP, Lewis Platt has demonstrated his goal with an electronic world: home PCs, business processing software, Unix and Windows NT servers in the online world. In Platt’s words: “We play big.” Another survey said that although Lotus’s Domino 4.5 and Netscape’s Enterprise Server are leading in technology and services, Micro Soft’s IIS is more able to gain customer loyalty. The leaders of A-A will set goals on Sunday. No matter whether Baoping’s victory or “three-pointer”, there is no long-term goal of “guaranteeing eight fights” or “always contending for the first”. However, in today’s IT arena, there is no vision of “e-commerce” and there must be indecent vocabulary to describe it. Will the company go downhill on this? Who would dare to give it a try!
