上世纪二十年代末,于右任先生提了出“标准草书”的概念,并组织人员,本着“易识、易写、准确、美丽”的原则对草法进行了规范。[1]其目的很简单,就是要推广普及草书,“以求制作之便利,尽文化之功能,节省全体国民之时间,发扬民族传统之利器。”[2]应该说于先生的初衷是好的,但从今天看来他显然是失败了。虽然在很长一段时间内《标准草书》先后修订9次,印刷10个版本,再版的数量和质量不可谓不多,[3]但这多赖于于右任先生本人丰厚的政治资源和巨大的社会影响力。时至今日,学习草书的人很少会问津《标准草书》。原因也很简单,草书的美就在于它不可端倪的
