2000年5月6曰,川东北铁路枢纽达县站迎来了“五·一”放长假外出旅游的第一个返程高峰,熙熙攘攘的人群中,走来了一位三十五六岁,身材敦实的中年人,他叫阮孝昌。一下火车,他感叹的不是改革开放给家乡带来的巨大变化,他更多的感受是无比的亲切,因为生他养他的这片热土,他已阔别了14年。这次回来,他不是回乡省亲,也不是外出旅游返程,而是经历过千百次思想斗争才鼓起勇气做出的一个正确的决定,来赎回14年前犯下的罪恶,向人民投案自首。
