  Section A
  1. What about this dictionary?
  这本字典呢?
  What about...?是一句常用的客套话,它后面可接名词、代词或动词-ing形式。
  (1)询问情况或打听消息。当对方对谈的事情不明确,需要询问清楚时,可用这一句型。
  I’d like a cup of tea. What about you?
  我想喝杯茶,你呢?
  — I want to talk to you.
  我想要和你谈话。
  — What about?
  谈什么?
  (2)向对方提出建议或请求,相当于句型Would you like...? 语气很委婉。
  What about having some bread?
  =Would you like some bread?
  吃些面包好吗?
  What about playing football now?
  =Would you like playing football now?
  现在踢足球怎么样?
  (3)寒暄时用作承接上下文的转折语。
  I’m a student. What about you?
  我是学生,你呢?
  Our English teacher is good. What about yours?
  我们的英语老师很好,你们的(英语老师)怎么样?
  (4)询问天气或身体等状况。
  What about the weather in your city?
  你们城市的天气情况如何?
  What about your mother? You can’t keep her too tired.
  你母亲身体好吗?你不能让她太累。
  (5)征求对方的看法或意见。
  What about this bike?
  这辆自行车怎么样?
  What about his playing football?
  他的足球踢得怎么样?
  2. —Thank you for your help.
  谢谢你的帮助。
  —You’re welcome.
  别客气。
  1. for prep. 为了;给;对,后面接名词和代词,表示“目的”。
  What can I do for you?
  我能为你做些什么吗?
  We study hard for our motherland.
  我们为祖国努力学习。
  This cake is for my mother.
  这块蛋糕是给妈妈的。
  2. thank you for加名词表示“为某事/某物而感谢某人”,如:
  Thank you for your father’s book.
  谢谢你爸爸的书。
  3. help在此为名词,作动词时有如下用法:
  help to do sth帮助做某事
  Could you help to open the window?
  你能帮忙打开窗子吗?
  help sb to do sth意为“帮助某人做某事”,不定式符号to可以省略。
  He often helps me to study English.
  =He often helps me study English.
  他经常帮助我学习英语。
  help sb with sth意为“帮助某人做某事”或“在……方面帮助某人”。有时在上下文意思清楚时,与help sb (to) do sth意思相近。
  You can help me learn English.
  =You can help me with my English.
  你可以帮我学习英语。
  help常用句型:
  Could you help me, please?
  你能帮助我吗?
  May I help you?/ Can I help you?
  我能帮帮你吗?
  4. welcome adj.受欢迎的,表示允许对方做某事或使用某物(其后常接介词to,这里的to既可用作介词,其后接名词或代词;也可用作不定式符号,其后接动词原形),意为“请自便;随便你;你尽管可以……”,如:
  You’re welcome to English Corner.
  随时欢迎你来英语角。
  You’re welcome to ask question.
  随时欢迎你提问题。
  You are welcome. 表示“不客气,不用谢”,一般在对方很友好地道谢的时候回答,有时也可省去You are,而只说Welcome,如:
  — Thanks a lot, Mr Smith.
  多谢您,史密斯先生。
  — (You are) welcome.
  不用谢。

  名词性物主代词
  名词性物主代词具有名词的性质,可以单独使用,在句子中可以作主语、宾语或表语,如:   This is my pen.Yours is on the desk.
  这是我的钢笔,你的在书桌上。(作主语)
  The green bike is his.
  绿色的自行车是他的。(作表语)
  名词性物主代词具有“形容词性物主代词 + 名词”的作用,如:
  The bike is his. It’s not mine. (mine = my + bike)
  名词性物主代词与形容词性物主代词的区别;
  形容词性物主代词起形容词的作用,用在名词前。
  This is my book.
  这是我的书。
  We love our motherland.
  我们热爱我们的祖国。
  注意:在使用名词性物主代词时,必须有特定的语言环境,也就是要省略的名词大家已经知道、已经提起过。
  It’s hers.
  是她的。
  (单独使用大家不知是怎么回事,不可以这样用。)
  There is a book. It’s hers.
  这儿有本书。是她的(书)。
  (hers = her book)
  只有上文提及了某个名词,才会知道名词性物主代词指代的事物。

  向老师要游戏机。
  本句是一个祈使句。ask v. 询问;问
  Can I ask a question?
  我可以问个问题吗?
  ask sb (not) to do sth让某人做(不做)某事
  His mother asks him not to go out at weekends.
  他妈妈让他周末不要出去。
  ask sb for sth 向某人要某物
  The boy asks me for some apples.
  这男孩向我要一些苹果。
  2. Some keys are in Classroom 7E.
  一些钥匙在教室7E。
  some意为“一些”,可作形容词和代词,它常修饰可数名词复数,如:some books一些书,some boys一些男孩;也可修饰不可数名词,如:some water一些水,some tea一些茶叶;some常用在肯定句中。
  I have some English books. They are my best friends.
  我有一些英语书,它们是我最好的朋友.
  I have some bread here.
  我这儿有些面包。
  但在表示建议、反问、请求的疑问句中,或期望得到肯定回答时也用some,如:
  Would you like some coffee?
  你要不要来点咖啡?
  What about some fruit juice?
  来点水果汁如何?
  Call me at 685-6034.
  call v. 打电话,后面常接人的名词或代词,表示“给某人打电话”。
  Call Jim, please.
  请给吉姆打电话。
  call可以直接接电话号码,表示“拨打某个电话号码”。
  Call 1394567,please.
  请拨打电话1394567。
  call sb at + 号码,表示“拨打某个号码找某人”。
  Please call Mary at 4357689.
  请拨打电话4357689找玛丽。
  call n. 电话;通话
  Please give me a call.
  请给我打个电话。
  at prep,表示“在……”,可接地点、门牌号数、时间点。
  He is at school/home/bus station.
  他在学校/家/车站。
  3. I lost my school ID card.I must find it.   我丢失了学校身份证(学生卡)。我必须找到它。
  lost v. 遗失,丢失,lose的过去式、过去分词,指因事故、过失、不幸、死亡等原因失去拥有的东西等,含有不能再找回来的意思。
  I lost my pen.
  我丢了我的钢笔。
  He lost a leg.
  他失去了一条腿。
  must 必须,情态动词,后接动词原形,无人称和数的变化。它强调个人主观感觉“有必要、必须”,如:
  I must study hard.
  我必须努力学习。
  find v. 找到;发现,多指偶然发现、碰到,强调寻找的结果,后接名词。
  I can’t find my book anywhere.
  我到处都找不到我的书。
  I can’t find the keys.
  我找不到钥匙了。
