江苏省张家港保税物流园区是张家港保税区的重要物流配套区,也是江苏省沿江开发战略重点规划的现代物流园区,于2004年8月16日经国务院批准设立,2005年1月28日通过国务院联合封关验收组的验收。张家港保税物流园区享受保税区和出口加工区的相关政策,规划面积1.53平方公里,分西区和东区。其中东区面积0.64平方公里,规划建成一个专业液体化工和固体化工品仓储、分拨中心;西区0.89平方公里,规划建成一个涵盖集装箱、件杂货、液体化工、散货的综合性物流园区。张家港保税物流园区按照真正意义上的“境内关外”的自由港模式运作,是中国目前法律框架下的自由贸易区。张家港保税物流园区全面整合了保税区的政策优势和港区的区位优势,进一步简化了货物流转手续,提高了货物流转速
