利用FPGA/CPLD大容量、可重构、可编程的特点设计十字路口交通灯控制器,可充分利用现有交通资源,缓解城市交通压力,并对突发事件造成的交通堵塞进行紧急处理,及时疏通道路交通。本文提出了一个交通灯交通灯控制器的控制方案,利用EDA工具设计出十字路口使用的交通灯控制器,要求红、黄、绿灯按规定的时间和方式进行转换。并介绍了用VHDL硬件描述语言和可编程器件FPGA/CPLD实现该方案的系统设计。
