[Atomic Energy Express, Japan, December 11, 1986, p. 10] Japan Central Electric Power Corporation cooperated with Toshiba under the guidance of Nagoya University to develop a new welding torch that can be used for welding stainless steel in water. The performance is the same as in the atmosphere. Based on this, the company manufactures a torch long-distance operation machine suitable for the welding site, and it is expected that it can also be implemented in the construction of atomic energy in water. Welding in water is mainly used for shipbuilding and marine structures. The previous research on underwater welding was performed using carbon steel.
