当前,英语交际能力已成为应用型人才要求具备的知识和技能的重要组成部分。然而,我国许多高校的大学英语精读教学在培养学生的英语交际能力方面仍存在着许多问题和不足。在大学英语精读教学中实践“双重活动”是对“教师中心”和“学生中心”两个极端的匡正,是治疗“满堂灌”的一剂良药。英语教师可借鉴双重活动教学法提倡的六项双重原则和五个步骤来活化精读教材,优化教学过程,精心设计教学活动,营造真实的语言环境,培养学生的英语交际能力。以上海外语教育出版社出版的《大学英语精读》(第三版)第一册中第三单元“The Present”为课例进行分析说明。
At present, English communicative competence has become an important part of the knowledge and skills required by applied talents. However, many college English intensive reading teaching in our country still has many problems and deficiencies in cultivating students’ English communicative competence. Practicing “Double Activities ” in College English Intensive Reading is a good remedy for the “Teacher Center” and “Student Center ” and the treatment of “full house”. English teachers can learn from the double activity teaching method to promote the six double principles and five steps to activate the intensive reading teaching material, optimize the teaching process, elaborate teaching activities, to create a real language environment, develop students’ English communication skills. A case study of “The Present ” in the first unit of “College English Intensive Reading” (Third Edition) published by Shanghai Foreign Language Education Press is given.
