Intel recently introduced a new generation of P4 processors. Structurally speaking, P4 uses a new Socket 423 interface and the core integrates 34 million transistors. However, it is said that this should be a transitional structure. Intel will launch a P4 with 478 stitches using 0.13 micron technology next year. The new P4 will bring higher stability at higher frequencies. The performance of P4 is undoubted, but the high price affects its initial development. Now it is impossible to be accepted by ordinary users because of the obstruction of many reasons such as the motherboard, memory, and its own price. It seems that Intel’s main push product is still P III, and the P III’s clock speed is still inferior to its rival AMD. In the domestic market, the P4 computers that were launched simultaneously with Intel are almost identical to commercial machines. On November 21, when Intel Corporation released P4, Haier also launched the latest Haier computer product based on Intel P4.
