据文献论述,抗坏血酸有显著的还原性,可将许多金属离子还原为低价状态,当pH值在1~2.5时能将Fe~(3+)、Hg~(2+)、Ca~(2+)还原为Fe~(2+)、Hg~+、Cu~+,pH值为3.5~4时,可将多种金属离子还原为低价状态,如Mn~(7+)还原成Mn~(2+),还可将Ag~+、Au~(3+)、Hg~(2+)还原为元素态,当pH值为4~5时,可还原As等元素,在此酸度下用他去除溶液中氧的效果也很好。 为应用抗坏血酸的上述性能,以掩蔽对测定氧化铜粉中锌的干扰而作了一系列试验,结果表明,本法去除干扰简单,快速易行,整个分析过程无需过滤和长时间的放置就可得到清晰无色的测定液,且准确度、精密度均比较好,锌量在0.5~25mg/100ml时,浓度与波高呈线性关系。
