October 29-31,2007.Nanjing,China Welcome Message from President of Organizing Committee It is our great pleasure to announce that an international symposium in Quantitative Pharmacology in Drug Development and Regulation will be held in Nanjing,China,28-31 October,2007.The symposium will discuss the latest methodologies in pharmacometrics areas focusing on pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynmics(PK/PD) modeling and simulation in drug development, regulation and clinical applications. The meeting will be hosted by Chinese State FDA,Chinese Society of Quantitative Pharmacology,Chinese Society of Pharmacokinetics,Chinese Journal of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics,American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists,AAPS,American College of Clinical Pharmacology,ACCP,The Affiliated Yijishan Hospital of Wannan Medical College,China Pharmaceutical University, and Jiangsu Drug Research and Development Association. In recent years, the integration of PK and PD modeling and simulation have played a vital role to guide the decision making process on lead generation, optimization and product realization, virtually,in every stage of drug development. These approaches lead to a shift in drug development paradigm from empirical to model based drug development with reducing time and cost needed for drug development.
