In 1952, Mao Zedong made a famous speech to contemporary Chinese students in Moscow, the capital of the former Soviet Union. The world is yours and ours, but in the final analysis it is yours. You young people, full of vigor and vitality, like the sun eight or nine o’clock in the morning, I hope laid on you. As time goes by, time flies, many people or things are dusty in history, but Mao’s words are still inspiring young people in Shandong. At the turn of the century, they strive to make their own contributions to the foundation of their own fields and are making brilliant achievements in the new century to come. Recently, our correspondents went to all parts of Qilu and interviewed a few young people, from which we can have a glimpse of the remarkable performance in their career and the ups and downs in life.
