Sino-American children’s literature also embodies the cultural awareness of their own nation. It is not difficult for us to find the adult images in China and the United States from different perspectives: adult images in Chinese young novels are good teachers and helpful friends, and their role in the process of adolescent development is positive and important; while American teenage stories Adults are different, especially among young novels published between the post-World War II and the 1980s. Many teachers are negative and their parents have no obvious role. They are often not dead or not at home. The reason is mainly that different cultures have different influences on writers. Chinese writers are influenced by Confucianism and collective view, while American writers advocate individualism and equality.
